Swing an axe at the glowing crystals of Mushlight Cave and dig out gems.

Where to find it

  • Mushlight Cave, at the top of the Way to Mushlight Cave.
  • Look for the purple crystals. The big ones are in the lilac chamber, and there are smaller ones all over the cave - 13 in all.
  • Jimmy stands just inside the cave’s mouth. Talk to him for his mining job.

  • Every crystal: 1 to 6 gems, up to 30 gems a day from crystals.
  • Sell your minerals to Jimmy: up to 30 gems a day - more with a bigger Satchel (45, 60, 70, then 80). Rare minerals pay 4 gems, epic 8. These come on top of your 250 gems a day.
  • Jimmy’s three contracts a day: 5 gems each. They count in your 250 gems a day.
  • Every mining: 25 XP, for your first 20 of a day (500 XP a day at most).
  • Jimmy’s job, “Jimmy’s new workers”: mine 35 crystals and get 50 credits and 200 XP. Once.
  1. Go to Mushlight Cave.
  2. Press a purple crystal. You walk over to it.
  3. Once you are there, you swing an axe at it. A bar over your head fills up.
  4. Stay still! Mining takes between 2 and 10 seconds. Step away and you stop, with nothing.
  5. When the bar is full, gems pop out of the crystal: 1 to 10 of them, and some XP.
  6. The crystal shrinks to a dark stump. It grows back in about a minute - then anyone can mine it again.

Jimmy is new to the island and has just got himself Mushlight Cave. Now he needs workers.

  • Start the jobFreeTalk to Jimmy, just inside the cave’s mouth, and say you’ll do it.
  • Mine 35 crystalsEvery crystal you mine right to the end counts - even after you hit your gems for the day.
  • Get paid50 credits, 200 XPGo back to Jimmy when all 35 are done. You can only do this job once.
  • One at a timeOnly one player can mine a crystal at once. Someone already on it? Pick another.
  • Growing backAbout a minuteA mined crystal is a dark stump while it grows back. Press it to see how long is left. It sparkles when it is whole again.
  • Catch your breathYou need a moment between crystals. Too quick and the game tells you to wait.
  • Up to 50 gems a day from mining. After that you can still mine, but it gives nothing.
  • Mining also counts towards the island’s 250 gems a day from everything.
  • The axe is only shown while you mine. It is not an item you get.
  • The island’s server decides how long each crystal takes and how many gems it gives.
