How to play
- On a computer: the left and right arrows turn your ship (A and D work too). The up arrow (or W) pushes you the way you point, the down arrow (or S) pushes you backwards. Hold Space to shoot - or press F and your ship shoots by itself.
- On a phone: put a finger on the screen and your ship turns to it and flies there. Or use the buttons: two on the left to turn, an engine and a brake on the right. Your ship shoots by itself.
- Your ship keeps gliding when you let go, and bounces off the edges of the screen.
- Shoot a rock and it breaks into two smaller ones. The smallest rocks just disappear. From level 4, darker rocks need two hits.
- Blast every rock to clear the level. The first levels have 1 big rock, then 2, 3 and at last 4 at once, from different sides.
- The top of the screen shows the rocks left, a star while you have not lost a ship, and the level’s 3 UFOs.
- UFOs come as you clear rocks, not as time passes. A yellow arrow shows where one will fly in. Shoot it down quickly: the next one only comes if the sky is free.
- From level 5 the third UFO is a small, fast one (a red arrow warns you). It aims where you are going, so keep changing direction.
- A UFO you shoot down may leave a power for a few seconds. Fly over it: S is a shield, 3 a triple shot, Z slows the rocks, + is an extra ship.
- Once a level a gold rock crosses the screen for 8 seconds. It cannot hurt you. Shoot it!
- Every 5th level, when the rocks are gone, Munidark’s purple saucer comes. Its health bar is at the top. It fires three shots at a time: keep moving and keep shooting.
- A rock, a UFO, the saucer or one of their shots destroys your ship. You have 3 ships, and you win one more every 10,000 points (5 at most). A new ship flickers for a moment: nothing can hurt it yet.
- Need a break? Press the pause button at the top left of the window, or the P key. The game also pauses by itself if you switch to another window.
Scoring
- Rocks: 10 points for the biggest, then 20, 40 and 80 for the smallest. One big rock and all its pieces make 850 points.
- 200 points for each UFO you shoot down - 500 for the small fast one.
- 500 points for the gold rock.
- 1,000 points for Munidark’s saucer.
- Clear a level without losing a ship: 250 more.
- Clear a level fast: a time bonus. It starts at 300 points for each big rock of the level and loses 5 points every second.
Duel mode
Two players, the same game at the same time. What you clear makes trouble for the other player. No XP, gems or high scores: just the win - and a wager, if you both agree to one.
- To start: press Duel a player on the game’s title and wait for the next player who does the same. Or open a player’s menu, press Play, and pick this game’s Duel. They get a card to accept or decline.
- Both of you get exactly the same waves, and a 3 second countdown.
- Shoot down a UFO and 1 Munidark stone goes to the other player. Clear a level: 1 big stone. Clear a boss level: 2 big stones.
- An arrow shows the edge a stone comes in from, 1.5 seconds before it does. Stones give no points and hold no wave up.
- Anything on its way to you is cancelled first by what you send back ("Blocked!"). The rest comes in after a short warning.
- Lose your last ship and you lose (if both do, the first one loses).
- After 4 minutes the higher score wins (the same score is a draw).
- Leave, close the window or stay away for 15 seconds, and you lose. A duel never pauses.
- The other player’s window is drawn small beside yours, with their score. Press Duel again for a rematch.
- A wager can ride on a challenge from a player’s menu (not on the title’s queue). The winner takes it. Your solo scores, medals and week board are not touched.
This week’s board
- Press the gold trophy at the top left of the game’s window. It shows two boards: This week and All time.
- This week: your best score since Monday. The board starts empty every Monday, so everyone has a new chance.
- When the week ends, the top 3 win Arcade Tokens: 10 for 1st, 6 for 2nd, 3 for 3rd.
- Spend them at the Prize Counter: press Prize Counter under the boards, or talk to Artie in the Lobby. It has the Minigame Surprise Box, a trophy for every minigame to put in your home, and every minigame aura.
