The short version
Muniz Online is free to play. Be kind, play fair and follow the game rules.
Keep your password and your personal details to yourself.
Items, credits and gems are for playing. The only thing sold for real money is packs of credits, by us, on the Get credits page: never buy from or sell to anyone else.
Moderators can warn, mute or ban players who break the rules. We'll tell you why, and you can ask us to look again.
Under 13 (under 16 in the Netherlands)? A parent or guardian must agree before you play.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you andMuniz Online, Gotthardstrasse 44, CZM10944, 8002 Zürich, Switzerland ("we", "us"), which runs Muniz Online: the game, the website at munizonline.com and everything you do with a Muniz Online account.
By making an account or playing you agree to these terms, to the game rules (which are part of them) and you confirm you have read the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Muniz Online.
Contact us at[email protected]. This address is also our point of contact for players and for authorities (EU Digital Services Act, articles 11 and 12). Our support is only offered in English.
2. Who can play
Anyone can play, as long as they follow these terms.
If you are under 13 and live in the UK or Switzerland, or under 16 and live in the Netherlands, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you before you make an account. They should read theParentspage.
You can't play if we have banned you, and you must not make a new account to get around a ban.
3. Your account
Give a real email address you can read: we send it a link to activate your account, and it's how you get back into your account.
Pick a username that follows the game rules: not your real name, nothing rude, and not pretending to be someone else or a moderator.
Keep your password secret. The Muniz Online team will never ask for it. Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using your account.
Your account is for you alone: don't sell it, give it away or share it.
You are responsible for what happens on your account, unless someone got into it without it being your fault.
4. How to behave
Follow the game rules. In particular, you must not:
bully, threaten, insult or harass anyone, or be hateful about who someone is;
share your own or anyone else's personal details (real name, address, phone, school, photos, other accounts), or ask others for theirs;
post anything sexual, violent, illegal, or that could harm children; try to meet a player in real life you only know from the game;
spam, flood the chat, advertise, or send people to other websites;
cheat: use bots, scripts, hacks, modified game clients or bugs (report a bug, don't use it), or try to get into accounts or parts of the game that aren't yours;
scam other players, or trade items, credits, gems or accounts for real money or anything outside the game;
pretend to be a moderator or a member of the Muniz Online team.
5. What you write
What you write in the chat, in private messages and on your player page stays yours. You let us store it, show it to the players it is meant for (and on your public player page, to everyone), filter it and use it in moderation, for as long as the Privacy Policy says. You must only write things you are allowed to, and that follow these terms.
6. Safety and moderation
How we keep the game safe
A child-safety filter stops unsafe words in the chat and in private messages, and players can't send links.
Anyone can report a player from their player card in the game. The report includes both players' last 10 chat lines, so a moderator can see what happened.
Moderators (players chosen by our team) and our staff look after the game. They can always send you a private message, even if you ignore them.
Automatic protections stop password guessing, bots and floods (they may block an internet address for a while).
Reporting illegal or harmful content
Report it in the game, or write to[email protected]saying what it is, where it is (the player's username, the room, the time) and why it's illegal or harmful. We look at every report quickly and carefully, and tell the person who reported what we did. We report content that shows a child in danger to the police or the right authority.
What can happen if the rules are broken
A moderator chooses from what happened and how often: a warning, a mute (no chatting for a while), a kick out of the game, a ban (no playing for some days), or a permanent ban (the account closed). A ban can apply to an internet address. We may also remove content or items gained by cheating or scamming.
When we take action against you, we tell you what we did and why (EU Digital Services Act, article 17), unless the law or someone's safety means we can't.
If you disagree
Write to[email protected]within 6 months, with your username and why you think we got it wrong. Someone who wasn't part of the first decision looks at it, and we tell you the result. If you live in the EU you can also use a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body (Digital Services Act, article 21), and you can always go to court.
7. Items, credits and gems
Credits, gems and items are part of the game. You get them by playing (levels, minigames, the Surprise Box, quests and so on), credits also by buying a pack from us, and use them in the game. You don't own them: we give you a personal right to use them in Muniz Online, for as long as your account exists.
They can't be exchanged back for money or anything outside the game. Apart from the packs of credits we sell ourselves, they must never be bought, sold or traded for real money, and nor may your account.
Trades between players are final. Take your time before you accept one.
We may change the game: items, prices, rewards and how things work, to keep it fair and fun. If something is lost because of a fault on our side, we may put it back.
Playing Muniz Online is free. Gems and items are never sold for real money.
Buying credits
What is sold: packs of credits, on the Get credits page, at the price shown there in pounds (GBP). The price shown is the whole price: nothing is added to it.
Who can buy: you must be 18 or over, or your parent or guardian must pay and agree. If you are under 18, ask them first.
How you pay: by card through Stripe, on Stripe's own secure page. The payment is taken by Stripe. We never see or keep your card details.
When you get them: the credits are put on your account as soon as Stripe confirms the payment, usually within seconds. If they are not there after an hour, write to[email protected].
Your right to cancel: credits are digital content delivered straight away. When you buy, you ask us to deliver at once and you agree that you lose your 14-day right to cancel as soon as the credits are on your account.
Refunds: once the credits are on your account they are not refunded, except where the law says otherwise - for example if we never delivered them, if you were charged twice, or if a child paid without a parent's permission. Write to[email protected]with your username and the date of the payment. A refund goes back the way you paid, and the credits come off the account by themselves when Stripe tells us of it (or PayPal, for a pack bought through PayPal before).
Payments taken back: if a payment is reversed (a chargeback or a dispute), the credits come off the account by themselves, and we may suspend the account while we look into it.
Buying credits as a gift: from level 12 you can buy a pack for a friend in the game (they must be level 12 or over and your friend for at least 3 days). The person who pays is the buyer: the buyer is responsible for the payment and for any problem with it - a payment that fails, is reversed, charged back or disputed - not the friend and not us. Once the payment goes through the credits are put on the friend's account, even if you are no longer friends by then; they become the friend's credits and can't be moved back to the buyer, given to someone else, cancelled or refunded, except where the law says otherwise. If a gift's payment is reversed or disputed, the credits come off the friend's account and both accounts may be banned. The friend is told who the gift is from, and we keep a record of who bought for whom. A gift must never be bought in exchange for money, items, account details or anything else; we are not responsible for any deal, promise or arrangement between players.
Credits you bought are used like any other credits. They can't be turned back into money, moved to another account or left to anyone, and they go with the account when it closes.
Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you as a consumer.
Premium
What it is: a monthly subscription, on the Premium page, at the price shown there in pounds (GBP). It renews by itself every month until you cancel.
What each month gives: the credits shown on that page, put on your account when that month's payment goes through - never before it - and, while you are Premium, the Premium perks in the game.
Who can subscribe: you must be 18 or over, or your parent or guardian must pay and agree.
How you pay: by card through Stripe. We never see or keep your card details.
Cancelling: any time, with the Cancel button on the Premium page. There is no next payment; you stay Premium until the end of the last month you paid for (months paid up front included), then the perks go back to normal. What you were given stays yours.
Your right to cancel: a month's credits are digital content delivered straight away. When you subscribe, you ask us to deliver at once and you agree that you lose your 14-day right to cancel that month once its credits are on your account. You can still stop the next months at any time.
Paying months up front: when you subscribe you can pay for 2 to 6 months at once - the first month on Stripe's page, the others charged to the same card straight after - and once subscribed you can pay for more months on top, charged to your card at once, up to 6 months ahead. It is still your subscription: it renews every month after the months paid until you cancel. Each month's credits arrive on that month's own day, a month apart (the first at once). If the card doesn't take the extra months, nothing more is taken and your subscription carries on as before.
Months pre-paid before 17 October 2026: they were one payment that doesn't renew; they run to their end as bought. You can keep Premium going with a subscription whose first payment is on the day they end - nothing is taken before then.
Milestone rewards: rewards given with your 3rd, 6th and 9th month of Premium paid, once each. They are not exclusive and may be offered to non-Premium players.
The monthly free VIP item: with each month of Premium given, you may take one item from the VIP Store (not an avatar) without paying credits. It is kept and locked as a bought one, below.
The Store discount: while you are Premium, 5% off what you pay in credits in the Store, rounded to the nearest credit. It does not add to a level's discount: the bigger of the two is taken.
The VIP Store: items bought there with credits are yours to keep, but can only be worn while you are Premium; when Premium ends they stay in your items, locked, until you are Premium again. VIP items can't be traded, sold to other players or dropped.
Refunds and payments taken back: as for credits, above.
8. Our game and its content
Muniz Online, its name, logo, characters, art, music, code and texts belong to us or to those who licensed them to us. You may use them only to play the game in the normal way. You must not copy, sell or change them, take the game apart (reverse engineering, except where the law allows it), or copy data out of it with bots or scripts.
9. The service
Muniz Online is free. We work to keep it running and safe, but it may sometimes be down for maintenance, updates or problems.
We may add, change or remove parts of the game. If we ever close Muniz Online, we will tell players at least 30 days before.
The game's content is digital content: it must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose (UK Consumer Rights Act 2015; Dutch Civil Code, Book 7, articles 50aa and following; Swiss law), and these terms don't take away those rights.
10. Closing your account
You can close your account yourself at any time in My Account, Settings, "Close my account" (your password and your username asked again): it and its data are erased at once. You can also ask us to, by writing to[email protected]from your account's email address.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms or the game rules, or when the law requires it. We tell you why (section 6), and you can ask us to look again.
When an account closes, its items, credits and gems go with it.
11. Our responsibility
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not using reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that isn't foreseeable.
Muniz Online is for fun and personal use: we are not responsible for any business loss.
If our digital content damages a device or other digital content of yours because we didn't use reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or pay you fair compensation.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it to be limited - for example for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your rights as a consumer under the law of the UK, the Netherlands or Switzerland.
12. The law and the courts
These terms are governed by the law of Switzerland. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you can take a claim to the courts where you live:
UK: the courts of England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, wherever you live.
Netherlands: the Dutch courts.
Switzerland: the court of your place of residence (Swiss Civil Procedure Code, article 32).
Please talk to us first: most problems are sorted out quickly by writing to[email protected].
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when the game or the law changes. For a change that matters, we tell players in the game or on the website at least 30 days before it applies. If you don't agree with it you can close your account before then; playing after that date means you accept the new terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
