Getting married

Playing together

Two players can marry in front of Guruji. It is free, and it needs four players: the couple and two witnesses.

The altar of the Hallowed Hill with its four stands: two in the middle for the couple, one on each side for the witnesses.
  1. Go to the Hallowed Hill (it is on the island map) with your partner and two witnesses.
  2. The couple stand on the two middle stands of the altar. The witnesses stand on the stands at each side.
  3. When all four are in place, Guruji wakes up and says his lines.
  4. Stay on your stand until he declares you married. Then: rose petals!
  • If anyone steps off, the ceremony stops and you start again.
  • Both of you must be single.
  • Your player pages show who you are married to, and since when.
  • The newly-weds receive the wedding outfits.
  • The Weddings page lists the latest weddings and the marriages that last.
  • On the plaza to the right of the altar are two round pads, side by side. Two players standing on them together are taken to a quiet room for two.
  • Nobody gets married there: it is just a pretty place.
  • A marriage ends in the Hall of Shame and Divorce, at the end of a very dark path off the entrance to the swamps.
  • One of the two can do it alone. The wedding outfits go back.
