Wild Wade

Games

Wild Wade is a race across a pond in the swamps. Swim from the start to the finish as fast as you can.

The pond changes every Monday, so every week is a new race. The rules and the prizes are on its page: Wild Wade.

  1. Open the island map and press Wild Wade, then Go there.
  2. Or walk: the path On the way to Wild Wade leads to it, at its far end.
  3. You arrive on the trail above the pond. The start is on the sand on the left, by the two frogs.
The start of Wild Wade: five round start circles on the sand, the two start frogs on their rocks in the water, and the mossy leaderboard stone on the grass beside them.
  1. Step into one of the start circles on the sand.
  2. Wait for 3, 2, 1, GO!
  3. Swim to the right, round the reeds, to the finish by the two frogs at the other end.
  4. Your time is at the top of the screen. Run again takes you straight back to the start, Cancel gives up the run.
The Wild Wade window opened from the stone: this week’s fastest swimmers, the all-time board, the medal times and today’s challenge.
  • The mossy stone on the grass beside the start circles shows this week’s top 5 and today’s challenge.
  • Press it to see this week’s and the all-time top 10, your own place, the medal times and today’s challenge.
  • The fastest swimmer of the week wins a Credits Surprise Box. The top 3 wear the Wild Wade helmets.
  • The top 10 of all time hold the Wild Wade Badge. Talk to Wadey, the explorer by the stone, to pick its frog - grumpy or happy - and its colour.
  • Every Monday the reeds, the lily pads and the big fish move. So do the surprises: speed flies, springy lily pads, whirlpools, mud and a jumping frog.
  • See this week’s course - and every other one - on the game’s page: The courses.
  • The surprises are not on those pictures. You find them in the race!
  • Your ghost swims your best run of the week beside you. Beat it!
  • The three rows of floats across the pond show your time so far: green when you are ahead of your best, red when behind.
  • Finish fast enough for a medal: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Krapoz’s time each give gems once.
